Wētā Workshop was intrinsically involved in the design and physical effects manufacture for all three films of The Lord of the Rings™ trilogy.

It takes hundreds of hours to design, sculpt, model make, mold, and paint the prototype for each new Middle-earth piece. Whether it be a prop replica, beautiful environment, or iconic character, we treat our collectibles with the same level of care and attention to detail that we bring to our film work.

Creatures of colossal scale and ancient lineage, this mûmak skull specimen, though reduced in size through arcane means, retains the historic and anatomical grandeur of its source.

Immense curved tusks erupt from a broad, forward-jutting maxilla, while the domed cranial cavity suggests the mass and muscle required to support such weight and fury. Evidence of dense, reinforced bones along the frontal and nasal regions implies evolutionary reinforcement, well-suited for carving through terrain and enemy alike.

This piece offers a rare link to the last living echoes of a darker age, where even the wilds of Middle-earth marched to war.
